NormaQ ("the App") is a native macOS application published by RoyWorkx for project quality and risk management. This policy explains what data the App handles and how.
NormaQ does not operate a server, does not collect analytics or usage telemetry, and does not sell or share your data with third parties. All project data you create in the App — Quality Plans, Risk Registers, ITP & Inspection records, NCR/CAPA, Evidence photos, Audit results, Management Review notes, Lessons Learned, and Contacts — is stored locally on your Mac.
NormaQ uses Apple's SwiftData framework to store your project data in an app-private database on your Mac. This data is never transmitted to RoyWorkx or any other party by the App. It remains under your control and is removed if you delete the App's data or uninstall the App.
Photos you attach as NCR evidence are copied into a local folder
(~/Library/Application Support/NormaQ/EvidenceStore) with a
SHA-256 checksum for integrity verification. Only metadata (file path,
checksum, thumbnail) is stored in the app database; photo files are never
uploaded anywhere by the App.
The Contacts & Mail module composes emails using your Mac's default
mail client via a standard mailto: link. NormaQ does not send
email itself, does not store SMTP credentials, and does not have access to
the contents of emails you send. Marking a message "Sent" in the App is a
manual confirmation you make after sending it yourself.
NormaQ offers optional Pro subscriptions via Apple's StoreKit framework. All payment processing is handled directly by Apple; NormaQ never receives or stores your payment card details. Apple shares only the transaction and entitlement status needed for the App to unlock Pro features. See Apple's own privacy practices at apple.com/legal/privacy. Terms governing the App's use, including subscription auto-renewal terms, are covered by Apple's standard End User License Agreement at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
NormaQ does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites.
The App requests outgoing network access solely to communicate with Apple's StoreKit servers for subscription validation. No other network requests are made by the App.
NormaQ is a professional business tool intended for quality and risk management use in industries such as marine/offshore, automotive, and construction. It is not directed at children, and RoyWorkx does not knowingly collect data from children.
